I have him in a 40gallon tank with no top on it. I do have a 7ft x 4ft pen I made him though. I've been told that it would probably be better to keep him in a smaller enclosure until he gets better. Not sure if that’s a good idea or not. Any suggestion on that?

The vet gave us Naxcel Injections to give him once every 4 days.

Yes he has a basking light as well as a UV light. I haven't been letting the temperatures drop anywhere near what you guys are suggesting at night. So I'll lower them to about 75 degrees and see how he does.

I am using a little child’s china plate for his water dish. It’s just deep enough for him to drink out of.

Thanks for the suggestion on changing his substrate I wasn't aware that it was not good for him.
