Don't panic, keep the toe dry and clean. A little ointment might not be a bad idea. My boxie ripped off his toe nail on a back foot last year while trying unsuccessfully to mate. I placed him on newspaper for about a week to give it time to heal up, then returned him to his regular cage. It never seemed to bother him and a year later he has a new nail growing in. Good luck and go on your trip without worry, Angel will be fine as frog hair! Dawn
