Hello, I agree with Marissa, please don't even
consider a heat rock, these things aren't good
for any reptile almost without exception. They
heat unevenly and can have "hot" spots, and
easily burn the underside of a tortoise.
You said as an "extra" source of heat, what's
your primary heat source?
Also, yeah throw the corncob out, don't even
use that either, besides being extremely harmful
if even a small amount is ingested (eated), it's
very abrasive to walk on. (Step on a piece barefoot).
