I have a friend I used to live with in San Bernidino, Who has had 3 DT's in his back yard for 30 some odd years, and yes he does have a permit for them.
Well recently they just had thier first clucth out of all these years. I called DFG and they said i was able to abtain a permit for having his offspring.
I live in northern Cal and have exp with a number of herp's. And was planning on taking one. And was curious to thier growth rates, as i was going to keep it in a 24x48x18" setup. And was wondering how many years till he would outgrow that setup. And untill it was old enough to live in the yard in the spring, summer and fall. Also what are some techniques for keeping it indoor's while in dormancy and or making boxes if they will even use them.
Also I was wondering if there was some way to build nest boxes for them in his yard to increase the odds of having the right properties for proper incubation.
Hope i didnt make that to confusing since i was trying to keep it as short as possable.
James
