As long as the flaking is not associated with any pink skin or bleeding this could be considered normal. Adding any kind of lotion will only cause you problems. If it really worries you, you might consider providing a moist area such as a box filled with damp sphagnum moss or lightly moistened soil to give the animal a choice for a humid area.

: I have had Kirby for 4 years. He was one month when I got him. He has had this problem for a while and a vet even checked him and said he was ok, just dry..I don't trust them. He has dry flaky skin. More dry and cracked. He looks like he needs lotion. Any advice? Please help!
