I have been very concerned about little Hoku, and have been wanting to ask you how he is. He sounds like he had the same sickness as Albrecht and Giselle did when I first got them. They had a wonderful vet, Dr. Joseph Adams, who gave shots of Baytril.

The Baytril did end up curing Albrecht, although he did the relapse game and teetered on death's door with one sickness after another for his first year. It is a miracle that he is even alive, and you'd never know about his terrible rough start to look at him now with his huge fat little self!

I have been hoping for the same kind of recovery for baby Hoku, but I know that you have a long road ahead of you; I know it may seem too early to say you're "out of the woods" but you have all my best wishes. I know how well you care for your tortoises and Hoku is a very lucky little shell to be in your hands!
