Well hello real vet
Im Theresa.
My thinking is that even animals that are the same species should be quarantined due to unforeseen exposure to lethal pathogens. Especially if its an animal you have no history on.
I cant tell you how many times I have known ppl who have lost entire colonies after introducing a new animal.
No quarantine is a guarantee (as im sure you know) but better to be careful then to lose even one.
