Keith, There are ques that set the hibernation behavior in motion. Many think it is light and temperature. If those ques are not present there is no need to hibernate (low light, low temps) nor is it believed necessary. Forcing an animal into hibernation can be hazardous to the animals well being. Unless you are thinking about breeding the animals look long and hard at the necessity of hibernation.
