not too much interesting to say. they're basically like all my other torts. i have a pair of oblongas.the only significant observation would be their shyness. when i first got them, they wouldn't come out of their shells if i was within 15 feet or so of them. within a month they started standing their ground a little by not clamming up when i aproached them. they are coming around pretty good now (the male atleast) though. when i walk up to their pen, the female will run as fast as she can to the other side of the pen. when she runs out of pen, she'll stop and watch me without clamming up. the male, on the other hand, holds his ground and will even eat from my hand. both remain relaxed when picked up. within a year, i expect them to be just fine with my presence and both feeding from my hand. hopefully i'll even get some breeding action.
what are you feeding yours? i think i talked to you before ej, but i'm wondering if you've found any more favorites.
: Anyone interested in sharing some information on these neat little animals? It seems there are quite a few folks that have had these for a little while. How about sharing some observations on the critters in your charge? I'm new to this also and don't know what I'm doing. I've got some neat observations myself which I will be posting.
