HI,
Someone recommended that I ask you the following question, she said you know about BUGS!
Can and do you have knowledge of ticks ever hurting or bothering tortoises?
We live at an altitude that should not have ticks, but I think I saw one the other day. Not sure, can't find it now and none of my animals have them. I did find something strange on my dog though (CAN TICKS BURROW UNDER THE SKIN?) I used tweezers to get it out (came out in smooched pieces - black and she didn't bleed until I got mostly all of it out and even then just a tiny bit) could have been a mole ... and I put her through that for nothing...(taking out just tissue) She didn't complain at all... but with seeing that tick, I was NOT taking any chances... She is scabbing up and it looks ok, but we keeping close eye on her. Could have just been a bug I saw (happened so quickly), but I am a worry wart... Now I am worried about my tort, check him all the time (nothing so far) Any advice? (oh by the way saw the bug out front and the tort is kept out back)
