If you are located in the SW you can find it along any roadside. There are also websites that sell the stuff. But I always suggest finding a neighbor who will give you a pad. It grows like a weed.
What you are looking for though is 'spineless' prickly pair cactus. Agian, read up on how to propagate this stuff before you buy it. It will save you time and money. Depending on the area in which you live will determine the difficulty in raising.
