i love tortoise.. not for pet.. but as a live partner.. i don't know how to tell you how i felt about them but i do feel strongly for them..

: Here is my experience, although I don't know if it is the same as everyone else's.

: I have 4 CA Desert Tortoise, One Sulcata, and a box turtle.

: My Tortoises are by far the most social - will eat from the hand, like their heads and chins scratched, will beg for food, etc.

: The box turtle is shy, will not eat from my hand, and closes up almost everytime I go near her.

: Good luck in your choice. Please continue your careful research before you choose your pet.
