Matt, Thanks for the info. No I did not hear the grissly details, although the difference between the two groups is profound. It would seem the first (primo) group had been well cared for perhaps in captivity, maybe even captive raised owing to their immacualte condition, weight and rapid acclimation. The dog group (at Great Lakes) may have been wc and been warehoused a long time resulting in their horrible condition.
They have been a regular export for some time now anyway. They are common in European collections. And coming into the States for about three years now at extraordinary prices. Remember Matt, in the Malagasy an animals rarity, conservation requirements etc. seemingly has nothing to do with whether or not permits are issued. Like always who you know (or are realted to) will beget you what you wish over there. But like you said, no judgements. BTW is it possible they are better off here then as an appetizer in the food market at Ft. Dauphin???
Later Dude,
PS Keep up the info!!!
