Generally the tortoise needs more fiber..romaine has alot of liquid in it...other grocery greens are better such as chickory, escarole, watercress, turnip and mustard greens, dandelion greens...fresh grass clippings and clovers (not treated with pesticides)...some grated carrot once per week on the greens are okay...squash in very very limited amounts and NO BANANAS OR FRUITS...bananas are very high in protein and will lead to pyramiding...and fruits are acidic and can cause diarrhea...these are not fruit-needing animals...they need high fiber/low protein diets. They are grazers like cows...go to www.turtlecafe.net and order some Opuntia Cactus and some graze mix to grow...that's the way to go...95F may be a tad hot for basking, I'd recommend getting down to about 90F...and get the cool end a tad cooler like 72F....to provide a better temprature gradient for thermoregulation...
