Yes, what a great book that is, just got it myself, read the 1991 edition about 4 years ago. What do you think about their argument that it is actually maximum likelihood (rather than parsimony) that considers evolution to proceed simply (a.k.a. parsimoniously)? Very different from you would find by reading most systematics journals.
