i agree...the best way to answer that is read up on the issues yourself and formulate your own opinion. Another great source that i recommend to all is Brooks and McLennan (2002)The Nature of diversity : an evolutionary voyage of discovery...excellent book on the topic of phylogenetics and macroevolution (by excellent professors as well)
