I completly agree with you. If you look on the other fourms such as the bearded dragon or chameleon fourm you will find numerous stories that make it seem like the people are talking about their dogs. I own a few reptiles myself and I do occasionally talk to them but many people go too far. Even the animals like bearded dragons that almost like to be handled I don't think that they should be as much as some do. I let my bearded hang on to me but if for any reason he wants to get off or do something else I let him. Most of the time I let him out for the sole purpose of excercise. Reptiles are the most beautiful interesting "pets" so I feel that they should be treated as such. They should be looked at, cared for, and examined for behavior but this is about it. Some people go too far.
