I will be using lidless boxes, and will add holes to the boxes for ventilation, as well as using pegboard for the back of the rack. Is there a way to provide even more ventilation? And yes, I will be providing 2 hides per box. By your answer, I'm assuming that you think the smaller box size is fine, but the larger box better for ventilation?

:Snakes in general feel safer and more secure in a smaller box. But seeing as you will prbably provide a hide box it is your preference.
: My experience has shown to keep smaller boxes for easy cleaning and less substrate being replaced every time.
:The importatnt thing you have to remember when keeping rosys is they need a lot of ventilation compared to colubrids. The rosys do not do well in unventilated boxes and come down with problems from the humidity. So a large box would be effeceint for ventilation.
:Your call.

:I'm designing a rack that will house collubrids and also rosies. Since I have a small collection, I can afford to give the snakes more room than would be considered adequate. I'm looking at 2 Iris boxes for the rosies. One is 13.5 x 16 x 7, or approx. 216 sq. in. floor space, which seems a little small to me. The other is 16.25 x 24.25 x 6.25, or 394 sq. in., which I'm sure is more than big enough. Unless someone convinces me otherwise, I'll go for the bigger box. What do you think?
