Yes with respect to being an active falconer as is at least one other herper on this forum (or use to be) that contacted me a couple of years ago. There is also someone that signs off as Kestrel.
In the late 1950's and early 1960's I reared several gyrs then became inactive when my last two falcons where shot, a Gyr I had for 3 years and a Prairie that I only had a short time. Was inactive for about 19 years then took it up again in the late 1980's when my youngest son became an active falconer.

Right now, we have 27 birds, including eagles, owls, hawks, and a peregrine/gyr hybrid... I take it you are into falconry?
