My son got a rosy boa about 2 months ago. After initially rejecting frozen/thawed pinkies, she is now a healthy eater. Last week, I asked my son to feed her while I was at work. She did not eat. I tried to feed her myself today, thinking maybe he didn't have her "dinner" warm enough or something, but she avoided the pinkie completely. I have tried to get information on shedding, since I think she may be getting ready to do that, but any info I find is pretty sketchy. Her eyes are not off-colored at all, nor does her skin look dry or flaky. The skin around her jaws, though, is sagging...sort of stretched-out looking. She has also been opening & closing her mouth, making a popping sound. She has not shed since we have had her & I'm not sure what signs (physical or behavioral) she will show to let us know this is going on...just my "mom's instinct", I guess! If these are signs of preparation for a shed, what else should we expect & when? How long before this is over? She seems kind of miserable & not herself. We want our relaxed little Sassy back soon! Any help is sure appreciated.
