Temperament of sand boas?

Hey. I'm looking into getting a snake. I've got a leopard gecko, uromastyx, and a few other things, but I really want to add a snake to my collection. I wanted something small that is relativly easy to care for. I've already done much research about the care of a sand boa, but I would like to know if they are relativly calm and friendly or if they just hate to be handled and if they frequently bite. If they are nippy as youngens, do they get over it quickly? Thanks for the help.
