IMO, it's a mistake to endorse contradictory `truths' depending on context. Hydrodynastes is venomous... and it's venomous if you're a politician as well as if you're a scientist.

When dealing with practicality and legislation, venom isn't really the issue, danger is... so in practical/legislative contexts it makes more sense to address danger, rather than venom...
