Black rat snake on COPS

I was watching COPS today, and on this episode, cops were called over to a residence where there was a snake prowling around. It ended up being a nice black rat snake. The cops came and killed it. It's probably a rerun, but it was the first time I had seen this. This kindof thing make sick. Not only do the cops kill t out of pure stupidity, but they air the segment, teaching people it's ok to do that to snakes, since the cops did it. Thankfuly, there aresome knowledgable cops and wildlifeofficers out there. Cops should be trained to recognize what is venomous and what is harmless (even though killing a venomous snake would still be wrong). I had to post this, it just really, really made me sick.
