I recently purchased a "Bubblegum Rat" from my local reptile store. I am just wondering about this snake, I was told that it is a cross between a corn and a rat. I have also seen snakes that look like mine advertised as rat snakes. I am just wondering if I bought a hybrid or if I have a true blood rat? It has the saddles of a corn but thats about as far as the simalarities go. She is very aggresive, she made three strike attempts at me the first time I handled her and bit my girlfreind the first time she handled her. I heard that rat snakes are very nippy snakes, is this true? If so can I break her of this trait by handling her alot? I have three corn snakes currently including two okatee and one snow, can I care for the rat the same or does she need special care? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. I will try and post a picture in the next couple of days for you to see her and maybe help me decide what she is.
