In Reply to: Housing E. guttata with E. obsoleta together ? posted by MaRiO on March 11, 2002 at 10:36:50:
The larger snake would probably hog all the best spots in the terrarium, stressing out the smaller one. You'd need 2 warm spots, 2 hide boxes, ect.
Also, I've seen E.guttata of identical size eat each other, let alone one eat a smaller snake, so make sure it's very well fed.
: I have two question:
: 1. Can I keep Elaphe guttata with Elaphe obsoleta together in one terrarium ?
: 2. Is it possible that ~65 cm Elaphe guttata will hurt small Elaphe obsoleta ( ~25 cm ) ?
