Why semi-rat? All those snakes are Elaphe (ratsnake).
Your just gonna have to get bit. Wear some gloves if you are afraid. When he realizes bitting doesnt work, he will stop. Only this doesnt work 100% of the time, some snakes are just spirited.

But... he is not tame when i pick him up he runs and tries to bite do you think he will grow out of this. hes about 16 inches and hes about 5 months 10 days old. He eats and drinks fine looks healthy. His colors went from somewhat light, to brown and yellow to brown and gold and now to a dark brown. He is doing fine but i cant realy hold him. Only if i have to take him out to show a friend and i will have to hold behind the neck so he doesnt try to bite or run. (no pressure) Well anyway any help advice or tips wud be apreciated.
