Asian rats??

I scrolled through this whole thing, and surprisingly, nobody mentions anything about the occassional "Asian" or "Chinese" rat found at pet stores for $12.99 or $24.99 (Got mine for 12.99, and found more at 32.99 elsewhere.) They are drab, brownish snakes with darker stripes from head to tail. Possible E. quatorlineata.
Anyone????? Any info and ID would be appreciated. Mine is doing great, very tame, haven't tried feeding yet. Very nice snake if you like subtle beauty.
