Sounds like a slum lord to me. Those snakes aren't going to move at that price and if they die, he writes off $699 for one and $499 for the other. A sincere manager would have known of the conditions and may have even asked for help. Some pet stores start to carry snakes from pressure of customers coming in and asking for them. They don't know the husbandry involved and get into trouble and sometimes someone can go in and show a few things to correct. I don't know of any pet store manager who doesn't know the conditions of the store. He/she is brushing you off hoping you will tire and not pursue anything. Remember though Brian, that this is still viewed as negative publicity by the public even though you're doing good. There is still a portion of the public that doesn't care if a snake dies. They even go out of their way to run one over in the spring when they are coming out of brumation. Thanks for standing up for all of us and good luck. Keep us posted and maybe some of us can help. BTW - Patricia gave you alot of good avenues to pursue and I just wanted you to see first where the manager was coming from.
