My techniques are similar to yours, TD. The only difference is that my snakes see temperatures in the low 30's on occasion. It depends on how cold our temperatures get here in KY. Since I work with american rats almost exclusively, the low temps see to have no ill effect on the animals. Also the room has no windows, so all brumated snakes are in complete darkness for 2-3 months. I bring the snakes back up in late January/early February, depending on how many rodents I have stockpiled. Last year, it was mid March before I brought out the heavy duty rat eating machines. I brought them out on 2-10 this year, :)
I check on the snakes about once every two weeks during brumation, to insure no water bowls are spilled. My snakes are brumated together in 28 quart sweater boxes, usually 2-4 per box, depending on size. Ophiophagic species like kings are brumated individually in smaller boxes. Also males are brumated separately from females, for obvious reasons, lol. Don't want a snake orgy on those inevitable warm days, hehe.
