In Reply to: cage size for young Taiwan Beauties + few other questions posted by Rob O on February 06, 2002 at 18:49:51:
1) I'd start babies off in a shoe-box sized container or a 10 gallon aquarium. They eventually will need a 20+ gallon sized cage.
2) Taiwan beauties can grow really fast when fed frequently but this is unhealty for the snake. A twice a week feeding schedule is best for juvies and then one large meal a week for adults is best.
3) They are generally pretty slender for their length, but at 7-9' thats still pretty large. They are far less slender than a Boa constrictor, though.
4) Undertank heating is enough.
Scroll down to one of my posts from a couple days ago and you can see pics of my Beauties for size reference, etc. Good luck!
