cage size for young Taiwan Beauties + few other questions

hi,its my first post here but i've been reading the archives etc.no i don't have any TB's yet but sooner or later i will and want to be prepared. so i have a few q's.....
1- should they be started in tubs and moved to increasing sizes as they grow? or just start w/ a large tank or tub? size recommendations?
2- i've read that some ppl feed them EVERY day!? is this true and/or necessary?
3- how thick do they get compared to say other colubrids, or even boids? (i know how long they get)
4- is undertank heating ok or do they need basking light too?
