Well water?

I had several different aquarium setups with no problems at all. The well water tasted better than any city water I have ever drank, I might add. I knew someone who lost some very expensive Koi due to the city treating the water system without giving anyone any warning.

Oh, and the new house has regular ol' city water, so I can get back into fish keeping, hooray! I prefer freshwater, but haven't been able to keep any fish since I've been living at my current house with the yucky well water.
