Its kinda odd for such a northern snake to be light colored isnt it? It seems to me that most of the westerns tend to be a lighter color and a bit smaller than the easterns, is this true or just happenstance from the pics I have seen? Just from what little I have seen and read, they do appear to be kinda inbetween pithouphis and elaphe. Are any studies being done with them?
