Because that's the only province there is a wild population. Around the Kingston / Ottawa Valley area to be exact, I caught a HUGE 5 footer in Smith Falls about 13 years ago, you'd swear from a distance somebody had lost their pet Indigo he was THAT black!! Pretty easy to handle as well for a wild Obseleta.
I live in Newfoundland where there are no native snakes @ all. My idea of field herping is when one of my snakes escapes in the recroom :-)
