I would say he is either a yellow rat, or a "greenish" rat.
Here is pic of a hatchling yellow rat:

BTW, greenish rats are natural intergrades between yellow rats and black rats. Some greenish aren't quite this "green", but instead are greyish. The yellow usually manifests itself on the belly first.

After about two or three more sheds you should be able to tell for sure what you have.
