I would say he is either a yellow rat, or a "greenish" rat.

Here is pic of a hatchling yellow rat:

Different snake, but same bloodline at one year: (not all yellows are this bright)

And here is pic of a hatchling greenish rat:

BTW, greenish rats are natural intergrades between yellow rats and black rats. Some greenish aren't quite this "green", but instead are greyish. The yellow usually manifests itself on the belly first.

And here is a yearling greenish:

After about two or three more sheds you should be able to tell for sure what you have.
