Just read it and signed it. Things like this are stupid. Most people who propose these bans/by-laws etc. have never even come into contact with a reptile in their lives. They are completely ignorant to all the good info about reptiles and only focus on the bad. So what if a few kids get sick from putting their turtles in their mouths or whatever kids do. That's the parents fault for buying the pet in the first place, and then not educating their children about proper handling of their pet and hand washing afterward.

I go through this twice as much too, because I also own a pit bull, another animal who is subjected to many the same situation.

I noticed that there is also another petition on that site to ban reptile ownership completly. It had 602 signatures on it!!! I can't believe that there's that many idiots out there. Hey, I hate cats, but I don't want to ban them, I'd just never have one in my house.
