Scenting...

Scenting is when you either rub the food item you are intending to feed to your snake, or use a scenting solution such as "Lizard Maker" to make the intended food item smell like something else. Eventually you can stop scenting and the snake will feed on sight, not scent. I've gotten this to work with both garter snakes, and water snakes...hope this helps.
