Don't know. I have a clutch that are overdue by a couple of weeks now. I can tell you that a couple of mine have dimpled and I suspect that they are probably not gonna make it, but I won't give up on them till I'm sure. Several of the others are displaying a split in the outer eggshell and are beginning to bulge through. A thin inner membrane seems to be intact still. A couple of those have been doing that for some time. A woman I work with says that when chickens do that it is called piping, and means they are about to hatch, but that they will hatch the same day they start pipping. Mine have not. Are yours doing something similar when you say they are plump? My eddress is here with, if you care to I would appreciate knowing what exactly yours are doing.
