One of the things I've learned in life is that the same thing doesn't always apply, even if you're talking about the same thing. Meaning, there is no one rule even when talking about the same thing.

Know I've known people with Parrots that treated them as children and gave a whole room in the house to them. The birds seemed to do very well and all parties seemed happy, so don't let what i'm about to say offend you please. I'm sure you know the people I'm talking about.

I just think when you have an animal with the smarts of a 5 year old, a life longer then the keepers and a pet who's whole life is built around being free and flying. I think it's a bad thing to keep it in a house. Dogs, fish, snakes, many birds, cows, cats, sloths and just about everything else you can think of does fine like that. Dolphins, Chimps and the likes, and parrots I don't think are meant for the house.

Seems that captive animals that pluck out their feathers and get all type of ticks and odd things like that shouldn't be kept.

I'm going to wrap this up but I saw something that almost made me cry because of a bird. The African Grey at the UofA can say I forget, something like 70-100+ words. They were filming this bird and as they were doing so he got scared. This poor bird kept saying "go home", "go home" with fear and sadness in his voice. You could tell he wanted the comfort of his cage.

Any animal that's smart enough to ask to go home and to truely mean it, in my eyes should have their wishes respected.

Thanks for the post:)
