First Congrats on the 5 babies. Someone had sent me an e-mail response to my slitting question instead of posting on the forum. He mentioned that eggs can pip over a 1-3 day period. He said if eggs start pipping and then a few eggs haven't pipped for 15 hours, he slits them. For example, let's say there is a clutch of ten. They start pipping. Eight pip over the first day or two, then no pipping for 15 hours. He slits the remaining two. That's one of the answers I took into consideration and applied. I didn't just slit away at the first sign of pipping.
