Last time I went to Daytona I bought about six snakes and a tortoise. Before I went to the show, I had made mini snake bags that were about 3x4". Before my flight home, I sewed the bags shut, sealing the snakes inside (tying them up in pantyhose would have been MUCH easier... thanks for the tip!). I pinned some of the snake bags to the bottom edge of my bra and the rest to the inside of a baggy pair of overall shorts! My husband had the tortoise in the pocket of his baggy shorts. We tried to look as relaxed and unobvious as possible. Thankfully, none of the snakes pooped, and once we got through security we went into the bathroom and unloaded our loot into our carry-ons. We were totally paranoid, but now think what we did is very funny. Since then, we've just put things in our carry-on from the start, and saved ourselves all the nervousness. I agree that the skeleton of a young snake probably would never show up on the x-ray.

Cheers!
Ronda
