Wow. This is some great discussion. Do you think, as breeders, we set-up an artificial incubation environment and this might contribute to weaknesses in slitting. I agree in the wild that the strong survive. Alot that do emerge in the wild don't even make it a year. I'm thinking that with captive bred, that they might need a little help now and then. Their survival rate doesn't effect the balance of nature. Well, I'm going to slit my last remaining bull egg that did not pip now.
