I am about to get a tiger rat snake or a Spilotes pullatus pullatus. Are they really a rat snake or not? I have heard that they are not to be concidered as a rat snake. Oh well, I will get one whenever I get some money :) I would like to have some help with the care for the spilote. I have read some caresheets and all that, but I would like to get some info from people that actually keeps them and have experience with them. I know about their reputation concerning their temperatment and I am prepared for that. That doesn't scare me off. I got huge respect for them though and realize that they will not be the snake I will pic up and hold. I've got my Irian Jaya carpet and Guyana red-tail for that.
One more question. Where can I get hold of one? I know snake museum has some for $150. I know some people that will sell one to me for $60-$100, but I don't trust them to well.
