: : Dear Mr. Deptula,

: : Could you perhaps tell me from wich (sub)species of old world ratsnakes Mr. Mulligan will have offspring this year? I'm still looking for E. mandarina offspring. I'm also interested in E. moellendorffi, E. prasina and E. porphyracea spp.

: : Thank you very much!

: : The Netherlands

: Dear Mr. Grit,

: You Netherlandians/ites/Dutch? are so so formal. That's Walt to you (grin).

: You named all the species (less moellendorffi) that I keep !! Bill keeps all of the others! It would be much shorter to list what he doesn't yet keep, and it's pretty much limited to the exact species your inquiry centered on. Bill will have prasina soon though as his name is written on a pair of eggs presently in my incubator.

: I would seriously advise that you contact Bill at the number above as he will be better suited to recite all of the wonderful species he expects in 2001.

: Good Luck,
: Walt Deptula

Hello Walt,

First of all thank you for the compliment!

Second: thank you for the reply!

I know that you're working with E. mandarina, E. prasina and E. porphyracea coxi (you have a very nice website!). Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't your animals offspring from Mr. Klaus-Dieter Schulz from Germany? Since Mr. Schulz lives in Germany, pretty much all the Asian ratsnake species you'll see here in the Netherlands are related to his breeders. I would like to get some fresh blood for a change. And I would also like to get my hands on animals with locality data. Especially when it comes to E. mandarina, because there's so much variation in the appearance of this snake.

Thanks again for the information!

Greetings from the Netherlands!

Regards,

Bert Grit
