Im going to have to disagree slightly with the methods stated in the last post to incubate eggs for the E.o.obsoleta.
First I would not let them get over 83 degrees.
Studies done at various universities used black rats as a test medium to demostrate moisture requirements during incubation. It was brought down to nearly no water content to the vermiculite and a high overall humidity and the hatch rates went up. I personally used these methods myself and can honestly say, since I started,I get 95% or better hatch ratio on most all of my clutches of eggs (last year, I only had E.climacaphora give me a bad hatch ratio 3 out of 6 eggs hatched). When I used more moisture I had a higher death rate on eggs.
so go easy on the water in the vermiculite, some say you just need enough water to were it will barely clump when you give it a good squeeze.
