: They've only been out about three weeks, and the female looks gravid already. Could it be that a fall mating, which took place in 2000, carried over and the ovulating eggs are fertile already? In the spring of 2000, when she was 2.5 yrs. old, she produced eight infertile eggs. Check my photopoint site for an update on the Persian pics.

Your pics are great. I especially liked the Moelendorf's. I've wanted one for years and against my better judgement, I got a half-grown wild-caught last fall for my collection. Beautiful markings, but will not eat. So I've been 'assist- feeding' him for about a month, after letting him settle for 4 months with no feedings- he just takes water. Hopefully, he'll begin taking mice on his own soon. Tried black ones, white ones, adults, fuzzies, rat pups etc, etc- all refused. He weighed 450 gms on arrival, now weighs 410, so he's not critical yet. Cross your fingers...
