Here's the problem: we are english speaking (most of us are Americans here even though it is the WWW), but we are trying to pronounce words with Latin & Greek roots using the Italian rules of pronunciation. (Yep, that is actually way we are supposed to do it -- I won''t go into why.) All that makes me feel that proper pronunciation here is a moot point.
