They are usually nocturnal, but in Europe might be more diurnal, because of northerly locations. Make sure they have fresh water, but most of the time they will want to be dry. Try small mice, but if they won't eat, try lizard scenting. Good luck.

: i caought a snake which i think is of the rat snake family. it is a cat snake. i would like to know what setup it should i have. would a wild setup make it feel more at ease. should i use soil and wouldn't it affect his feeding? when should i feed him and how often? thanks for any help
