Its my understanding that some cultures consider a pure white snake, or albino snakes in general, to be sacred and are highly valued (not as a food source). I imagine its probably not a bad place for snakes to end up, being "highly revered" and all! I could be wrong about their intentions, but your "warning" seemed a little prejudiced to me, especially without knowing all the facts.
