Being that the snake was a recent acquisition, I would say that it was most likely stressed from transport. This is the most likely cause for the regurgitation. One important question: Did this snake have access to water? Snakes that are regurgitating or not feeding will dehydrate surprisingly quickly, especially juveniles. Unfortunately hatchlings and neonates are very susceptible to stressors and many don't survive the effects.
